About
Most people don’t plan to fail they fail to plan ~ John L. Beckley
Travis J. Brock, CFP®

I am an independent, fee-only advisor.
This means my investment decisions are based solely upon what I think will achieve my client’s goals in the most efficient, cost effective manner.
These decisions are not influenced by proprietary products or profitable commissions. This allows me to be objective when selecting the investments that are most appropriate for each situation. Using this approach permits me to craft and follow a retirement plan with your needs at the forefront.
When I am not visiting clients or spending time in the office…
I love being outside with my wife, Sarah, our son, Maddox, and our German Shepherd, Jeda. My favorite hobbies include golf, baseball, fly fishing, and spending time in my woodshop creating furniture that will hopefully be enjoyed for many years to come.
Fueled by a dedication to my clients…
I started my career in the financial industry in 2007, working an internship during my last year of college.
Before advising individual clients, I gained experience from administrative duties, assisting a lead financial planner, preparing taxes, and even leading a trading department. This provided a great foundation for me to begin advising clients almost 15 years ago. Dedication to my clients and a passion to further my education pushed me to become a CFP® professional in 2017. The Certified Financial Planner™ certification is the highest standard awarded to financial planners who meet specific criteria, pass a rigorous examination, and maintain their skills through continuing education.

Business Relationships
Every successful advisor needs a good team behind them, and my team ranks up there with the best in the industry.
Cambridge Investment Research
The Midwest is known for our honest, friendly people and strong work ethic. Cambridge Investment Research Advisors, Inc. is no exception. Headquartered in Fairfield, Iowa, Cambridge was an obvious choice when I was looking for my Registered Investment Advisor. They are experienced in compliance oversight, account administration, and the complex support advisors need. Partnering with Cambridge to handle logistical items allows me to spend more time doing what I do best: working with clients.
Boyd Financial Services
The role of an Office of Supervisory Jurisdiction (OSJ) is important in the financial industry. Michael Boyd of Boyd Financial Services, LLC lends me his 25-plus years of industry experience along with acting as my OSJ. In addition to day-to-day supervision of their advisors, OSJ supervisors enforce policies and procedures to ensure their branch and the firm is compliant.
My client’s security is a top priority. Pairing an experienced OSJ with an already compliance-minded Cambridge is a recipe for success.
